Proverbs 7 (click here to read)

Proverbs 7

I know this chapter probably reads a little weird for some of you but there's an important point for young men and young women here. If you disregard wisdom you will end up in a place you never wanted to be. I hear people say all the time, "well I didn't really mean for this to happen." Here's the deal, if you live without wisdom, if you don't consider every thing you do before you do it, you will end up where you didn't mean to be. James 1:5 tells us that we should ask God for wisdom. So as you are thinking about how to respond to your family, friends, teachers, coaches, coworkers or what you are going to do when situations come up do this: Stop and ask God now for wisdom so that "what you never meant to happen" can be avoided.

Be wise and...

Go Live

hmm... yeah it's a little weird.
in verse 6 and 7 you get that somebody is watching.... could have stepped it up and said 'don't do that , don't go that way'....
how often do i let someone go somewhere they have no business going....
it is also at twilight, gettin dark... we tend to let our guard down at night ,,, maybe think nobody is watchin..... even at night our choices have consequences

keep, store up, guard, bind, write: all these actions ~ we are supposed to doing with God's word... and they will keep you from.....a lot more than the adultress

I love the idea of this passage when you apply it to every part of your life. The part about twilight and dark to me is how often times we go into situations completely blind because we don't ask enough questions. We don't ask for wisdom so we allow ourselves to be preyed upon. I think this is one thing that I have trouble with sometimes. I like to jump head first into things a lot and not ask God what He thinks. I also believe it's what a lot of us struggle with because we really want something or don't want to be left behind. I think this is a good passage to ponder on with us going back to school and being around friends again because there will be several times where we will need wisdom and we should take it to heart.
