Proverbs 18
It is wise, we hear again, to keep our mouths shut. Speaking in arrogance, not listening to wise advice, and spreading gossip are all great ways to get us in trouble, and truthfully ruin our lives. Stuck in the middle of this chapter is a verse declaring that God is a strong tower that those who live right run into and are saved. Back in the day there used to be buildings known as towers of refuge that people could run into during times of war and violence, they were safe places. The unwise, the gossipers, are living dangerously. It might not look like it and if you're caught up in it may seem pretty good, even fun but the end will come and it will not go well. We are not meant to live life on our own, so run to God and...
Go Live.
There is a song that a lot of you have heard, that talks about running to Jesus where real life is. It came to my mind before I read this passage and after I read it seemed to fit. Here's the link: Come To Jesus

I think running to God is often hard. Especially when we know we messed up. I think a lot of times we don't realize that he is our safe place. It's sad becuase sometimes we get in the mindset that He is just going to make us feel worse about what we did so we're too afraid to speak to him. I know that is often times how I get. Sometimes when I do or say something I shouldn't have, I find it hard to confess sometimes because of my guilt. In my head I think that, yeah, I know he saw or heard it happen but it becomes real when I have to admit my guilt of doing it. I think a lot of times I'm afraid to run to Him cause I feel like He is going to be mad at me. That probably sounds crazy but it's true
