Proverbs 17
Sometimes we get to a point where we think life is just about do's and don'ts. But wisdom teaches us that life is really about balance. Meaning for example, God doesn't tell us "don't have money," but He does tell us to save it and spend it wisely. We are called to live in a relationship with God, made possible by His grace, and it is that relationship that we are equipped and called to be more like Him, wise.
A couple verses deal with the idea of justice, the freedom of the innocent and the punishment of the guilty. How just are you? Sometimes we can be guilty of picking on people because they are easy targets for various reasons. It's not just to put down anyone even if you determine they deserve it. Its unwise to talk down about others, because that cannot lead towards God.
