Romans 5 (click here)

I was so pumped when I got to this chapter today. Verses 3-5 have been on my heart for the about three weeks and I hadn't taken the time to look it up. It is great to know that if we place our hope in Christ it will be grown, tested, and challenged but the Hope of Christ will never disappoint.
  • How does perseverance produce hope?
  • Do you ever feel disappointed in the hope of Christ (even though you know you shouldn't, what causes the doubts)?

No matter who you are your sin, any sin, makes you an enemy of Christ, but it does not have to stay that because of the justification (saving) accomplished through the cross.

  • What would have happened if Adam would not have sinned?

V.20 says that after Moses the Law was added so that trespasses might increase.

  • Why would this need to happen?

You need to know and your friends need to know that death of Jesus is all consuming, you cannot out sin the grace of God, it covers everything. We must live by this grace and grow up into Christ so that as we experience the precious grace of Christ we sin less because we fall more in love with Christ.

Go Live
